BookMyne App

bookmyne iconBookMyne is a smart phone app that allows you to:

  

Scan barcodes:  If you see a book you like at a friend's house or a bookstore, choose the barcode search option and scan the barcode with your phone's camera.  Click search to see if the library has it.

Access your account:  See what you have checked out, check due dates, renew a book - almost anything you can do online, you can do on your device.  You can even get alerts when books are due or holds become available.  Contact the ERDC library for your ID and Pin.

Stay logged in:  Ask BookMyne to retain your details, so you won't have to log in each time.

Search the ERDC catalog:  Search the catalog by author, title, subject or keyword.  You'll see book summaries, cover images, number of copies and more. 

Search and view ERDC digital reports:  Search by report number, report name or subject - click on the title of the report and click "Additional Links" to view the report. 

 

Download the App:
Bookmyne is available to download for the Apple iPhone (iOS) and all Android phones via their respective markets.  Use your phone to go to one of the links above and download the app. After you download the app, you can use your current location to give you a list of nearby libraries - choose the ERDC library in Vicksburg, Champaign or Hanover.  You can also search for a library by name and type in ERDC to find the three ERDC locations.

Viewing an ERDC Digital Report in Bookmyne:

If you find an item that is an ERDC digital report, you can click "Additional Links" and the web address for the report will be shown.  Click on the address and you will be taken directly to the report as shown in the screenshot below.

Viewing your library account:

Click the Home button to go back to the main page and click My Account to see what you have checked out, the due dates and to renew items.  You will need to contact the library for your ID and Pin.

 Wiley Journals Online.

Wiley journals offer the latest issue's table of contents or Early View articles via RSS, featuring article titles, authors, online publication dates, and links to the abstract via the article DOI. RSS is a type of web feed used to publish frequently updated works in a standardized XML file format.

 

Wiley Journals on iPhone

To obtain a feed for any specific journal, click the Get RSS Feed link at the top of any journal page under the Journal Tools. You can also simply add /rss/ into any Wiley Online Library journal home page URL like so:

Association for Computing Machinery - The ACM DL app for Android, iOS and Windows is now available (and free).

As an ACM DL user:

 

  1. Sign-in or Sign-up to the ACM DL with your ACM Web Account now.
  2. Install the ACM DL app onto your device, (see below).
  3. Sign in to the ACM DL app with your ACM Web Account.

 

DONE—You now have access to the ACM DL on your mobile device.

 

Safari to Go App

Safari Books Online is one of ERDC Library's many electronic resources that provides ERDC researchers with access to computer technology books from a variety of publishing houses, such as Prentice Hall Professional; Wiley & Sons; and Elsevier. Safari To Go for iPad is a free app that provides access to your Safari Books Online account. You can access your account over WiFi or a cellular connection, and depending on your subscription possibly view previously cached content from the Offline Bookbag when not connected. If you have not yet set up a Safari Books account with ERDC library, contact us at erdclibrary@ask-a-librarian.info. Due to licensing restrictions, Safari is available only to government employees.

ACM

The ACM DL app for Android, iOS and Windows is now available (and free).

As an ACM DL user:

 

  1. Sign-in or Sign-up to the ACM DL with your ACM Web Account now.
  2. Install the ACM DL app onto your device, (see below).
  3. Sign in to the ACM DL app with your ACM Web Account.

EBSCOhost Mobile Applications - iPhone and Android


EBSCOhost Mobile provides seamless access to the EBSCOhost (ehost) or EBSCO Discovery Service (EDS) interfaces via mobile devices without the need to download an application. Simply access your library's EBSCOhost resources from a mobile device and a mobile-friendly version of the site will display. For more information on EBSCOhost Mobile click here .
